May Oddity

June 14, 2007 at 5.48 pm

As you might have surmised, I did an awful lot of stuff in May, which is why I’m so far behind at writing it up.

Overall, it was a mixed month — to be honest, a pretty rubbish month overall but with some good bits.

I spent most of the month hurting in one way or another. There was the heel injury, which has only just healed, plus I managed to pick up an ear infection (just before flying out to Philly — great timing, as always), and various sporting aches, e.g. a very sore back after hockey.

Oh, and I had an absolutely awful time with hayfever.

What else was bad? Well, I crashed my car, of course, which wasn’t good…and I think that’s it.

Highest on the list of good stuff wot happened were the trips to Philadelphia and Bratislava — those definitely deserve write-ups of their own — plus the Macc Beer Fest and Thornbridge trip. Sunshine’s always nice, but frustrating when I can’t go out and play sports because of injury.

There was also a bit of bittersweet stuff — I’m not going to go into details here really, but I had a bit of a fling with someone. Yes, a girl. It sort of started as a bit of fun, but was very rapidly descending towards something a bit more substantial…and I wasn’t comfortable with that. I think we’re back on speaking terms now, thankfully!

    No pun intended :-)

Oh and I twisted my knee again putting on a large rucksack so might be a while before I’m down at hockey :-(
