Walking on Broken Glass

March 28, 2007 at 11.07 am

I have a small bit of glass in my big toe, and I can’t get it out. I think it’s glass, anyway.

I stepped on it yesterday morning, on my way between the shower and my room. I tried a pin, then tweezers, then a scalpel, but couldn’t get it out. The problem is, it’s tiny and right on the bottom of my toe — I’m not quite flexible enough to get a good view of it.

So, it’s still in there. I’m hoping it works its own way out.

  3. Hmmm.

Played badminton last night…it didn’t cause any pain. Come to think of it, I can’t feel anything untoward in the big toe region (left) right not. Might have a poke later, to see if the little shard is still there.

It’s probably in my circulatory system as I write, slowly working its way towards some important part of my brian…

  4. You’re going to die*!!!! Be careful.

*at some point in the next 70 years or so I can be certain, but probably not from any glass in foot related occurance… Unless it gets infected and then the infection spreads and takes over your whole body and then you die. But that’s really quite unlikely.

Ps. I dont have any important parts of my brain. Can’t speak for you, but its def true for me.
