Quick Summary

I’ve done so much since the last (proper) update…

  • There was the Liverpool Beer Festival, which I somewhat foolishly followed with a poker tourney at Pete’s place. I managed to finish fourth, just missing out on the £40 third prize.
     
  • There was Ian’s stag weekend, which was great fun - the Saturday evening was the best time I’d had in absolutely ages.
     
  • There have been a couple of ceilidhs. I never did go out for that drink with Zen, but I have now met her boyfriend. He’s a very very hairy man.
     
  • There was the Daresbury leg of the Ig Nobel prizes tour. Much fun, in a slightly geeky way - where else can you listen to a comedy Dutchman talking at length about homosexual necrophilia in the mallard duck?!
     
  • And now it’s the MUGSS show week. That means the pre-show party and all the other socials…not that I’ve done them all this time around. Last night was the boat race, which was nice.

What with all that (and much, much more), I’ve hardly had time to breathe, never mind blog. My lunch breaks have been taken up with (co-)organising Ian’s stag do, then finding new glasses, as well as various other things.

February for me is always frantic, and March is usually madly manic. I definitely need an anodyne April…but I doubt I’ll get one!
