Eating Stuff
August 23, 2005 at 9.43 amBugger! Left the data cable at home again.
Yesterday saw a very fun badminton session. I spent most of it playing singles against Pete - we’re very closely matched, but play with completely different styles. I’m a very aggressive (too much so, usually) power player, while Pete’s a studious placer of the shuttle.
Worked out pretty even in the end.
Shooting wasn’t so good. I managed to get a large floater right in the centre of my field of vision. Floaters are bits of tissue that everyone has, to some extent, in their eye’s aqueous humour. I’d had small ones before, but this was seriously strange. It was as though I’d been looking at a brightly lit Magic Eye puzzle, and now had an area in my vision that I could not quite focus on. Threw me right off, and I hit a 90. That’s _really_ not good enough.
Got a call from Claire and, together with the usual stream of innuendo (you know it to be true, Claire!) and gossip, she mentioned that she was doing some sort of study on food and exercise. So, I’ve agreed to record my daily intake here, together with any exercise I might have.
This’ll show you lot exactly what a slob I really am!

Nice one, Mr Hoose!
I’m sure Claire will appreciate an extra victim.
BTW, WTF is “moam”?
Comment by mahinda — August 23, 2005 @ 2.03 pm
moam is a small pack of chewy sweets. think chewits but about half a pack size. only costs 10p and goes nicely after lunch.
I also had a yakult at some point during the day, but I’ve liked the taste of that since well before the “Healthy bacteria” fad kicked off.
